Hoist is the most important component of an overhead crane. It is the device that actually performs the lifting and lowering of a load. An overhead crane's hoist lifts and lowers a load by means of a drum or lift-wheel, in which chain or wire rope is wrapped around.

Crab Trolleys are supplied as standard units or can be custom made. It can have single or twin hoists units as required. The drive is through induction motor.

Single girder cranes are the most cost effective for capacities up to 10 tons. The single girder overhead crane can be installed on traveling rails on the brackets of building pillars. Moreover, the shorter overall length of the end carriage and geared-motor allows for a more effective use of work space. A dual speed type
crane is available for speed- controlled operations.

The double girder overhead crane can be installed on travelling rails on the brackets of building pillars. The double rail type trolley runs along parallel girders suitable for larger capacity cranes. Smooth traveling is obtained using a guide mechanism with side rollers, and the girder construction can be designed according to the rated load and span. Moreover, the shorter overall length of the end carriage allows for a more effective use of the work space. A dual speed type crane is available for speed controlled operations.
